Sandy Spring Friends Meeting Children are Welcome

9:30 and 11:00 AM Meetings for Worship

Youngest Children:
Child care is offered for infants during both the 9:30 and 11:00 AM Meetings for Community House nursery. Some parents prefer to keep children (especially infants) with them in the Meeting.

Younger Children:
-- At 9:30 AM Meeting for Worship: There is no child care available for this group during the 9:30 Meeting.
-- At 11:00 AM Meeting for Worship: After about 20 minutes of sitting in Meeting with their parents or other adults, most children ages 4 to 13 leave as a group to join First Day School classes.

Older Children:
Children ages 13 and up are welcome to participate in the full Meeting for Worship or go to the Young Friends group of First Day School.

First Day School Classes — 11:20 AM to Noon
Classes start at 11:20 AM on the Sunday after Labor Day and run every Sunday from September through mid-June. On the first Sunday of each month, a children's program of singing, worship, and crafts takes the place of the regular First-day School classes.

Members of the Religious Education Committee of Sandy Spring Friends Meeting would be pleased to talk with parents about First Day School classes and other activities available for children.
