Thelma E. Ricks Scholarship Tea

Sandy Spring Friends Meeting’s Social Concerns Committee, in cooperation with Sharp Street United Methodist Church, is sponsoring the Thelma E. Ricks Scholarship Tea on Saturday, May 4 at 2:00pm in the Lyceum (17801 Meeting House Road, Sandy Spring, MD 20860). The Thelma E. Ricks Scholarship Fund is a ministry of Sharp Street UMC and provides financial support for college students who are members of the church. Sharp Street UMC, founded in 1822, is the oldest historically black church in Montgomery County.

Tickets for the tea party are expected to be available on or before Sunday, April 7. The cost of each ticket is $25 and additional contributions are welcome! Jim Lynn of the Social Committee will be available on Sunday mornings to sell tickets. Checks can be made out to the Thelma E. Ricks Scholarship Fund.

Come support this worthy cause while enjoying a wonderful afternoon with our Sharp Street neighbors!
