No Other Land

Join Sandy Spring Friends Meeting on Saturday, September 6 at 7:00 pm for a special screening of No Other Land, an Academy Award-winning documentary.

No Other Land follows Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist, and his friend Yuval Abraham, a Jewish Israeli journalist, as they confront Israeli forces carrying out the demolition of homes in Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank in order to maintain the area’s designation as an Israeli military firing zone. As Abraham tries to raise awareness of the injustice to little effect, Adra wonders if the footage they’ve captured will change anyone’s mind.
