Holidays at Sandy Spring!

The holiday season is right around the corner, and Sandy Spring Friends Meeting is getting in the spirit! Join us for our annual Christmas Crafts Sunday on December 14 from 10:00 AM to noon in the Lyceum and our beloved Christmas Pageant on December 21 at 11:00 AM in the Meeting House.

Christmas Crafts Sunday brings together Friends of all ages for warm cider, hot cocoa, sweet treats, and holiday-themed crafting projects from gingerbread house building to popcorn garland stringing. After crafting, stick around for simple lunch followed by our Christmas Pageant rehearsal in the Meeting House. To volunteer with set-up, clean-up, or leading a craft activity, CLICK HERE.

The following week, everyone is invited to our 60-plus year tradition: the Christmas Pageant. A celebration of the nativity for all ages in song, story, and worship, all are welcome to participate, whether you’re a longtime Quaker or a first time visitor. Come sing your favorite Christmas carols or join in the pageantry as an angel, shepherd, inn keeper, or magi. We’ll even welcome a couple live sheep!

Following the pageant, we welcome everyone to the Lyceum for a special Christmas potluck lunch, courtesy of our Community Life committee. To volunteer to help out in the kitchen or bring a dish to share, CLICK HERE.
