Bystander Training
Join Sandy Spring Friends Meeting and Montgomery County Immigrant Rights Collective (MoCo IRC) on Sunday, September 27 at 12:30 PM for bystander training. As Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) activities increase in the Montgomery County area, learn what you can do to help protect and support your neighbors.
Bystander training teaches individuals how to safely step in when they witness wrongful behavior, such as harassment or abuse. It turns passive watchers into active helpers by giving them simple tools to stop harm, support victims, and maintain a safe environment.
This training is for community members who want to know what to do in the case they see ICE in their community. It is intended to be a safe space for community members to learn. This presentation is not intended for members of the media or law enforcement.
Potluck lunch will be served at 12:00 pm.
